Project Linus gives comfort blanketsIn mid-October, Ellie's Haven were very fortunate to receive a donation of quilts and blankets from the Linus Project UK.
The Linus Project is a volunteer organisation which aim to provide comfort and security to children through home made patchwork quilts and knitted blankets.
It was founded in 1995 in America by Karen Loucks, when reading in a newspaper how a blanket had helped a child cancer victim. They now deliver nearly 2,000 quilts and blankets to children across the UK every month.
The blankets donated have a selection of designs and colours, perfect for use by the Vision Support Team who use the sensory studio quite often. 3 Nov 2017 |
